Smaller and easily accessible towns of Minerve, Limoux, Mirepoix, Caunes Minervois, and Olonzac offer weekly food and flower markets, not to mention the fabulous brocantes and antique markets if that is your dream. Unique art galleries, annual fetes, parcours des arts, classical concerts, jazz concerts are hosted within the walls of abbeys or hosted by old and new Chateaux owners, offering spectacular scenic views on your way to and from them.

From this holiday home, there is something for all ages. Exploring this fascinating region of France, you will have an abundance of choices. The Canal du Midi and its charming ports are nearby. Learn about and visit the spectacular Cathar castles perched on impossible mountain tops, swim in rivers and hike through the mountains and valleys. Share the boardwalks with the flamingoes in their lagoons or try lake swimming, wild swimming, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, even paragliding; and finally relax on a secluded sandy beach off the Mediterranean sea, unless you wish to try out the broader busier beaches with all kinds of water sports.
